Terms of service.

The service

Remedy checks posts on the sites you choose against the filters you set, using AI models, and hides or removes the ones that match. It changes only how pages look in your own browser; it doesn’t change anything on those sites. Remedy isn’t affiliated with X, Reddit, YouTube, Meta, TikTok or any other site it works on.

Your account

A plan needs an account, which you make by signing in with Google. An account is for one person. Keep access to it to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under it.

Plans and billing

• Plans are subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly in advance, and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may be added where they apply.
• Payments are processed by Stripe and charged to the card you give when you subscribe.
• When you change plans, the change takes effect right away: we charge the difference for the rest of your current period, or credit it toward your next payments if the new plan costs less.
• You can cancel anytime from “Manage billing” in the extension. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again.
• If a payment fails, we’ll retry it for a while; if it keeps failing, your plan ends. We may change prices for future periods, and will tell you before a change applies to you.

The free trial

• Plus starts with a 5-day free trial, which includes $10 of usage. A card is required. You’ll be charged for Plus when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
• There’s one free trial per person and per card. If the card you use has already had a free trial, your plan starts, and is charged, straight away.
• Starting your plan early, or changing plans during the trial, ends the trial and starts the paid plan at once.

Usage

• Each plan includes an amount of usage each calendar month (reset on the 1st, UTC), shown in dollars. Checking a post uses some; posts Remedy has already checked use none.
• When your usage runs out, Remedy stops checking new posts until it resets, you top up, or you change plans.
• Unused usage expires at the end of the month, except on plans that roll it over, where it lasts the number of months the plan says.
• Lite filters up to 3 sites at once.
• Top-ups are one-time purchases of $10 to $500, sometimes with bonus usage, and last until the end of the month they’re bought in.
• If you turn on automatic top-ups, we charge the amount you chose each time your usage runs out, at most 3 times a month. You can turn them off anytime.

Refunds

Payments are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.

Using Remedy fairly

Please don’t:

• make more than one account, or use more than one card, to get more free trials;
• get around usage limits, or copy, resell or overload the service;
• reverse engineer Remedy to do any of the above, or use it to break the law or anyone’s rights.

We may suspend or close accounts that do, without refund.

AI makes mistakes

Remedy uses AI to decide what matches your filters, and it won’t always be right: it can miss posts you’d want removed, and remove posts you’d want to see. Don’t rely on it to keep you safe from content that could harm you; it’s a filter for your comfort, not a safety or parental-control tool.

Changes to Remedy

Remedy is under active development. Features, supported sites and AI models may change. Sites Remedy works on can change without notice and may break it for a time.

Disclaimer and liability

Remedy is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, and our total liability for any claim about Remedy is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before it.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll post the new version here and change the date at the top, and tell you in advance of significant changes. Using Remedy after they take effect means you accept them.
